2019/20 BURSARY PROGRAMME FOR PRIVATE HETIs AND TVET COLLEGES
The W&RSETA invites private higher education and training institutions (HETIs) and TVET colleges to participate in the 2019/20 Bursary Scheme. The Bursary Scheme will fund courses that fall within the “Hard-to-Fill” Vacancies in wholesale and retail as outlined in the W&RSETA’s Sector Skills Plan, limited to degrees and diplomas at HETIs and NCV level 2-4 and Nated N4-N6 at TVETCs.
The letter of intent should be submitted before the closing date of 18 September 2019.

2019/20 SMALL AND MEDIUM (SME) DISCRETIONARY GRANTS
Small and Medium Levy-Paying wholesale and retail companies are invited to apply for the grant funding for the training of their employees, managers and/or owners. Funding is limited to companies that are registered with the W&RSETA and have the relevant Skills Development Levy (SDL) number.

EXTENDED NOMINATIONS FOR MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE W&RSETA BOARD
The W&RSETA invites nominations from constituent Organised Business and Organised Labour to serve on the Board of the W&RSETA. Nominations close on 13 September 2019.

UPDATE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2018/19 RETAIL MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The W&RSETA is pleased to announce that the 2018/19 Retail Management Development Programme (RMDP) has now commenced. Stakeholders are informed that Henley Business School has been appointed to deliver the 2018/19 RMDP of the W&RSETA. The Programme will be implemented in three provinces; Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. The group has been divided into six; three in Gauteng, two in Western Cape and one in KwaZulu-Natal.
The commencement dates for the Gauteng groups are as follows:
Cohort 1 – 10 June 2019
Cohort 2 – 24 June 2019
Cohort 3 – 01 July 2019
Dates for the other provinces will be communicated in due course. Please note that the Henley Business School will send letters to the selected delegates to inform them about these arrangements.
REQUEST FOR TENDER – COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
The W&RSETA is inviting tender submissions for the supply of computer equipment. Submissions must be delivered to the W&RSETA by 13 September 2019.
