2016 National Awareness Campaign
The W&RSETA will conduct a national awareness campaign between October and November 2016. Sessions will be held for levy-paying but non-participating companies to educate these companies on the benefits of skills development.
General public blitzes will also be conducted after the sessions with companies at prominent public areas.
Levy-paying companies are invited to join the W&RSETA at the public blitzes to interact with prospective employees and learners on available opportunities.

2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The W&RSETA invites its stakeholders to the 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held at Emperors Palace on 6 October 2016. The AGM is convened to report on the W&RSETA’s performance for the 2015/16 Financial Year and outline strategic priorities for the ensuing year. The AGM afford an opportunity for stakeholders and role players to engage on pertinent issues that affect skills development in the Sector

The Minister of Higher Education and Training Dr B.E Nzimande officially re-established all existing 21 Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) after consultation with the National Skills Authority, under section 9(1) (b) of the Skills Development Act, 1998 read with Government Gazette No. R.1055 of 11 November 2010, Government Gazette No. R.1057 of 11 November 2010 and Government Gazette No. R.9542 of 27 May 2011, as from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2018.
