Minister Appoints the new Board for the W&RSETA

Following the end of the tenure of the Board that was appointed on 1 April 2011, the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Ms. Naledi Pandor approved the nominations of the new W&RSETA Board.

2018/19 DHET Budget Vote Speech

Minister Naledi Pandor tabled the DHET’s 2018/19 Budget Vote Speech in the Parliament on 17 May 2018 which highlights priorities for the various components within the Department and funding thereof.

CONSUMER GOODS COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA (CGCSA) STATEMENT ON THE RECALL DIRECTIVE ANNOUNCED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOLLOWING OUTBREAK OF LISTERIOSIS DISEASE IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Consumer Goods Council of South Africa (CGCSA) welcomes the announcement by the Minister of Health, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi, of the decision by the National Consumer Commission (NCC) to order a recall of processed meat products manufactured by Enterprise (a division of Tiger Brands) and by Rainbow (a division of RCL Foods). This follows the confirmation of laboratory tests by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), which confirmed Enterprise’s factory was the source of the strain that resulted in the outbreak.

Mandatory and Discretionary Grants Applications Extended

The W&RSETA would like to apologise for the inconvenience that was caused due to technical problems that we experienced with the SETA Management System (Indicium) which affected the submission of Mandatory and Discretionary Grant applications during the week of 23 April 2018.

As a result, the W&RSETA has extended the submission date to 15 May 2018.

Stakeholders are encouraged to submit applications early to avoid the deadline rush.

Please note that no further extensions will be granted beyond this date.



2018/19 Grant Season Now Open

The W&RSETA hereby invites Grant applications for the 2018/19 financial year from qualifying levy paying companies in line with the Grant Regulations, Gazette no.35940 of 3 December 2012. Companies are required to submit documents that make up Annexure II through the W&RSETA Indicium System by 30 April 2018 at midnight.
