The Wholesale and Retail SETA (W&RSETA) hereby invites all Wholesale and Retail companies to express interest to participate in the Retail Management Development Programme (RMDP) 2015. Registered levy paying and non-levy paying companies with a Skills Development Levy Number in the Wholesale and Retail Sector may nominate candidates to participate in this NQF Level 6 programme. Strategic Integrated Projects Report to support the Country's National Infrastructure Plan launched

The Minister of Higher Education and Training on the 2nd September 2014 unveiled the SIPs report which is aimed at contributing towards the National Infrastructure Plan launched by the State President. The 'Skills for and through SIPs' report details 91 occupations in demand for the SIPs, analysis of the shortages of these occupations and proposes solutions to address them.
Most importantly, and of impact to stakeholders is the commitments required from SETAs to contribute to the funding of identified SIPs.

SARS GUIDE FOR EMPLOYERS IN RESPECT OF SKILLS DEVELOPMENT LEVY
These guidelines have been compiled to assist employers in understanding the basic fundamentals of the Skills Development Levies Act No. 9 of 1999 (SDL Act) and must be read in conjunction with the Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962 (Income Tax Act) and the Tax Administration Act No. 28 of 2011.
