SECOND 2020/21 DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING WINDOW
W&RSETA stakeholders are informed that applications for the second Discretionary Grant Funding Window for 2020/21 are now open until 11 December 2020.
Funding will be provided for unemployed learnerships/occupational programmes, skills programmes for employed and unemployed learners, graduate workplace placement and internships.
NOMINATIONS TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE W&RSETA OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATION DEVELOPMENT WORKING GROUP
The W&RSETA invites stakeholders in the Wholesale and Retail Sector to submit nominations to serve as members of the Occupational Qualification Development Working Group (OQCDWG). The working group will be required to guide the Community of Expect Practitioners (CEP) when executing its activities for facilitating/advising on the development and review of occupational qualifications within the W&RSETA.

COVID-19 SUPPORT INTERVENTION: ADDITIONAL STIPENDS FOR 18.2 (UNEMPLOYED) LEARNERS ENROLLED ON LEARNERSHIPS
W&RSETA stakeholders are informed that the W&RSETA is providing grant funding for additional stipends for unemployed learners enrolled in learnerships who have been receiving stipends during the COVID-19 national lockdown and whose training period was extended as a result of the lockdown. Only companies that continued to pay stipends during the lockdown when training did not take place, and subsequently extended the learning period with the number of months lost due to the lockdown may apply for the grant.
CALL FOR RESEARCH THEMES OR TOPICS: W&RSETA 2021-2025 RESEARCH AGENDA UPDATE
Stakeholders are invited to submit proposals for themes or topics that are critical to the development of the Sector Skills Plan and sector priorities which will contribute to the W&RSETA 2021-2025 Research Agenda.
