Wholesale and retail companies are invited to express interest to capacitate Higher Education and Training (HET) lecturers on the Occupational Qualification: Retail Store Manager Subjects over a 5-day programme. This programme is part of the W&RSETA’s initiatives to support lecturers with practical experience to enhance delivery of this qualification. The capacitation programme must be completed between 02 and 30 June 2025.  

The W&RSETA is inviting bursary applications for registered Masters/PhD students employed in the Wholesale and Retail Sector under the 2025/26 Bursary Funding Window.

Applications must be submitted on or before  31 March 2025.

The W&RSETA invites its stakeholders to apply for the 2025/26 Discretionary Grant Funding Window for the implementation of Artisan and Candidacy programmes. These programmes will enable the SETA to achieve its strategic priorities while addressing national priorities. 

Applications close on 11 March 2025. No late submissions will be considered. 

The first issue of the WholeSay for 2025 is now available with highlights from February. Updates include the W&RSETA’s new international initiatives; Designers Immersion Programme in Turkey and  collaboration with Elaraby Group in Egypt on the TVET College Appliance Repair Programme. Other highlights are on the IEDP immersions in San Francisco and Istanbul, among others.

The W&RSETA invites constituent labour organisations within the Wholesale and Retail Sector to nominate suitably qualified candidates to serve on the W&RSETA Accounting Authority for the period 01 April 2025 – 31 March 2030. Members serve on the Accounting Authority as stipulated in the W&RSETA Constitution, to provide strategic leadership and governance of the SETA. 

The W&RSETA has opened a 2025/26 Discretionary Grant funding window for  interventions that address the Sectoral Priority Occupations. Stakeholder companies are invited to apply for grants by 14 March 2025.
