Stakeholders are informed that the W&RSETA has not endorsed, approved, partnered with or mandated any service provider on our behalf to provide assistance to stakeholders in the midst of COVID- 19. Please be cautious of any emails or messages purporting to have been approved or endorsed by the W&RSETA. Updates will be sent to stakeholders directly from the W&RSETA and not through a third party.
DISASTER MANAGEMENT ACT REGULATIONS
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has published regulations on President Ramaphosa’s declaration of a national disaster in the wake of the COVID-19 (corona virus) outbreak in line with the Disaster Management Act.

Employers and employees that are distress due to the COVID-19 are encouraged to apply for the COVID-19 TERS special benefit under the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF).

Stakeholders are informed that the W&RSETA will continue to pay learner stipends during the COVID-19 lockdown in line with the SETAs COVID-19 directive from the Department of Higher Education and Training.
