The last issue of the WholeSay for 2024 has been released. This issue reflects on the highlights of our collective achievements to skills development in the Wholesale and Retail Sector.

W&RSETA stakeholders are informed of technical challenges on the Skills Development Levy System of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The resultant impact of this issue is that the W&RSETA is unable to process payments for Mandatory Grants due to employer files not provided from August 2024 to date.
Please note that the Minister has approved approval for the extension of deadline for the submission of nominations for Accounting Authorities to 15 December 2024.
The November edition of WholeSay is out now with the month's updates. These include the 2024 W&RSETA Research Conference and the conclusion of the 2023 International Leadership Development Programme. Other highlights are on the FRA Conference, the Presidential SMME and Co-operatives Awards and advocacy campaigns.
Following the advertisement of nominations for the Accounting Authority of the W&RSETA, stakeholders are informed that the SAPS clearance and qualifications verification reports are not required on the application process. These verifications will be conducted only for suitable candidates who have been identified for appointment.
The W&RSETA invites South African emerging fashion designers to be part of the Design Immersion in Istanbul, Turkey and growth support programme in February 2025.

The W&RSETA invites organised constituencies within the Wholesale and Retail Sector to submit nomination of suitably qualified individuals to serve on the Accounting Authority (Board) for the period 01 April 2025 – 31 March 2030. The role of the Accounting Authority as stipulated by the W&RSETA Constitution, is to govern and control the W&RSETA through strategic leadership.
Nominations should be submitted by 15 December 2024
