The May edition of WholeSay is now available. This month's highlights are the launch of the 2024 International Leadership Development Programme in partnership with the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, as well as the CEO’s stakeholder engagement programme in the Western Cape.
The special edition of WholeSay highlights recent significant milestones for the W&RSETA - the launch of the SETA’s first skills development in Limpopo and the unveiling of the second skills centre under construction in Reitz, Free State. that will elevate collaboration among SETA for greater impact. Also included are highlights from the launch of the SETA Integrated High Impact Projects.
The W&RSETA wishes to update the beneficiaries of business support grants regarding the delay in activating the vouchers that have been issued for redemption.

The W&RSETA invites stakeholders operating in the Wholesale and Retail Sector to apply for the 2024/25 Discretionary Grant for Artisan and Candidacy programmes. These programmes will assist the SETA to achieve its annual targets while addressing national priorities.
Applications close on 7 June 2024. No late submissions will be considered.

W&RSETA stakeholders (employers and trade unions) as well as academics are invited to submit research papers for presentation and discussion at the W&RSETA Research Conference in October 2024. The conference is an enhancement to the W&RSETA’s role to conduct labour market research in the Wholesale and Retail Sector and disseminate key outcomes, findings, and recommendations of research studies.

The W&RSETA invites applications for the Doctoral Research Fellowship to be awarded to two PhD holders to collaborate with the W&RSETA’s Retail Chairs on research projects focused on 4IR, artificial intelligence and technology transformation as part of the SETA’s Research Agenda.
