DG25/26 FUNDING WINDOW – MASTERS / PHD BURSARIES
The W&RSETA is inviting bursary applications for registered Masters/PhD students employed in the Wholesale and Retail Sector under the 2025/26 Bursary Funding Window.
Applications must be submitted on or before 31 March 2025.
2025/2026 DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING WINDOW
The W&RSETA invites its stakeholders to apply for the 2025/26 Discretionary Grant Funding Window for the implementation of Artisan and Candidacy programmes. These programmes will enable the SETA to achieve its strategic priorities while addressing national priorities.
Applications close on 11 March 2025. No late submissions will be considered.
FEBRUARY WHOLESAY NEWSLETTER
The first issue of the WholeSay for 2025 is now available with highlights from February. Updates include the W&RSETA’s new international initiatives; Designers Immersion Programme in Turkey and collaboration with Elaraby Group in Egypt on the TVET College Appliance Repair Programme. Other highlights are on the IEDP immersions in San Francisco and Istanbul, among others.
READVERTISEMENT - NOMINATIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE W&RSETA ACCOUNTING AUTHORITY (ORGANISED LABOUR)
The W&RSETA invites constituent labour organisations within the Wholesale and Retail Sector to nominate suitably qualified candidates to serve on the W&RSETA Accounting Authority for the period 01 April 2025 – 31 March 2030. Members serve on the Accounting Authority as stipulated in the W&RSETA Constitution, to provide strategic leadership and governance of the SETA.
2025/26 DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING WINDOWS
The W&RSETA has opened a 2025/26 Discretionary Grant funding window for interventions that address the Sectoral Priority Occupations. Stakeholder companies are invited to apply for grants by 14 March 2025.

W&RSETA 2025 BURSARY SCHEME
Public and private TVET and HET institutions, bursary administrators, W&RSETA levy-paying companies and Retail Chairs are invited to apply for bursaries on behalf of students pursuing retail and related qualifications.
The scheme will prioritise wholesale and retail related qualifications that address the Sector Priority Skills and Hard-to-Fill Vacancies listed in the W&RSETA Sector Skills Plan.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The W&RSETA invites unemployed graduates seeking to gain practical work experience to apply for internship opportunities.
