The W&RSETA informs stakeholders about the temporary closure of the Western Cape provincial office for operational reasons. The office staff will be available to serve stakeholders remotely until further notice.
We assure stakeholders of our commitment to provide ongoing service during this period. Stakeholders will be notified when the office is reopened.
The W&RSETA notifies its stakeholders and interested parties of the extension of the application deadline for Non-PIVOTAL programmes under the Discretionary Grant SME Category A to 15 September 2024.
The W&RSETA wishes to provide further clarity regarding the DHET directive on the implementation and transitional arrangements for pre-2009 qualifications, gazetted on 3 June 2024.

W&RSETA stakeholder and strategic partners are invited to submit proposals for collaborative projects for the 2025/26 financial year. Proposals should be aligned with the W&RSETA’s strategic priorities as aligned in the Sector Skills Plan and Strategic Plan for consideration.
Submissions must be made by 15 September 2024.
The W&RSETA cautions stakeholders about adverts that are being circulated regarding training and grant applications for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Please note that the advert for the 2024/25 Non-PIVOTAL Funding Window was recently published and will close on 30 August 2024.
The W&RSETA has not yet allocated numbers to any stakeholders for these grants.
Stakeholders are requested to refrain from using the W&RSETA logo on their adverts without approval.
Prospective applicants (W&RSETA employers, skills development providers, business associations, institutions of learning and other interested stakeholders) are invited to a briefing session for the 2024/25 Non-PIVOTAL Programmes Funding Window on 23 August 2024. The W&RSETA will outline the requirements and application process related to the funding window ahead of the closing date of 30 August 2024.
