W&RSETA 2023 BURSARY SCHEME PHASE II

The W&RSETA invites the Public and private TVET and HET institutions, bursary administrators, wholesale and retail employers and Retail Chairs to apply for phase II of the 2023 Bursary Scheme.

The scheme will prioritise wholesale and retail related qualifications that address the Sector Priority Skills and Hard-to-Fill Vacancies listed in the W&RSETA Sector Skills Plan.

DISCRETIONARY GRANT 2023/24 and 2024/25 FUNDING WINDOW FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS

The W&RSETA invites applications for partnership proposals and/or special project proposals for 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial year periods that aim to address any of the key priority skills areas identified in the W&RSETA Sector Skills Plan.

Applications must be submitted to SpecialProjects@wrseta.org.za  by 30 September 2023. No late applications will be considered.

AUGUST WHOLESAY NEWSLETTER

The August edition of WholeSay celebrates the phenomenal women in wholesale and retail who have benefited from the W&RSETA’s programme. The main feature of the newsletter is the W&RSETA and Zetech University Informal Traders’ Exchange Programme launch in Kenya. Another update is the certification of the NARYSEC Rural Development Project. 

CAPACITY BUILDING & TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR UNEMPLOYED YOUTH

The Western Cape Wholesale and Retail Leadership Chair at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites unemployed youths to participate in a six-month training and capacity-building programme to join the Wholesale and Retail Sector as employees or entrepreneurs.
