W&RSETA-accredited training providers, employers, TVET colleges or HET institutions and development agencies are invited to apply for the Discretionary Grant for the 2025/26 funding window for the following skills development interventions in the Wholesale and Retail Sector:
RE-OPENING OF CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE WHOLESALE AND RETAIL SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (W&RSETA) ACCOUNTING AUTHORITY
The W&RSETA invites organised constituencies within the Wholesale and Retail Sector to submit nomination of suitably qualified individuals to serve on the Accounting Authority (Board) for the period 01 April 2025 – 31 March 2030. The role of the Accounting Authority as stipulated by the W&RSETA Constitution, is to govern and control the W&RSETA through strategic leadership.
Nominations should be submitted by 15 August 2025
INVITATION TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLESALE AND RETAIL SECTOR EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY
The W&RSETA invites suitably qualified individuals to serve on the W&RSETA Accounting Authority for the period 01 April 2025 – 31 March 2030. The role of the Accounting Authority, in line with the W&RSETA Constitution, is to govern and control the W&RSETA by providing strategic leadership.
Nominations should be submitted by 29 August 2025

HELP SHAPE PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS IN THE WHOLESALE & RETAIL SECTOR
The Consumer Goods Council of South Africa in partnership with the Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority, is undertaking a key initiative to formalise professional career pathways within the wholesale and retail sector. As part of this initiative, CGCSA is applying for recognition as a Professional Body with the South African Qualifications Authority.
