The February issue of WholeSay is now available. Some of the highlights in this issue include our hosting of the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) for their skills development visit to South Africa that concluded with the signing of a new MoU with the W&RSETA.  Another update is on the 2022/23 Provincial Skills Plan consultations and engagements as part of the SSP update.

RE-ADVERTISMENT - SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR WORKPLACE EXPOSURE TO TVET LECTURERS BASED ON NCV RETAIL SUBJECTS

Wholesale and retail companies are invited to express interest to capacitate Higher Education and Training (HET) lecturers on the  NCV Retail subjects within the retail sector as part of the W&RSETA’s programmes to provide practical experience for lecturers to deliver this qualification. The 5-day capacitation programme must be completed between 7 March and  11 March  2022.

Closing date for applications has been extended to 25 February 2022 at 17H00

NON-PIVOTAL DISCRETIONARY GRANT 2021/22 FUNDING WINDOW: TRAINING OF TRADE UNION FRONTLINERS

SETA-accredited skills development  providers and worker colleges are invited to apply for the 2021/22 Discretionary Grant Funding Window for the delivery of a customised Workers Representation Programme to include COVID-19 related components.

Applications must be submitted by 22 February 2022.  No late applications will be considered.

CALL FOR RESEARCH PAPERS: W&RSETA RESEARCH CONFERENCE 2022

Stakeholders (academics, employers and trade unions) are invited to submit  research papers for presentation and discussion at the inaugural Wholesale and Retail SETA Research Conference in May 2022. The conference supports the W&RSETA’s role in conducting labour market research in the Wholesale and Retail Sector and disseminate key outcomes, findings, and recommendations of research studies.
